在經歷過《LAB壹號●實驗啟動》與《LAB貳號●穴居》之後，我們開始想要將「動物轉化」整理成一套系統，並且想要嘗試讓非三缺一劇團的演員使用這套系統進到他們自己的表演體系，於是在2016年進行《LAB計畫示範呈現-動物轉化01》，以最極簡的方式，透過講解與示範，並且加上部分的創作性練習片段，邀請少數觀眾與劇場演員們前來欣賞並交換意見。

我們整理出尋找動物雕塑的三種面向：「具象──抽象」、「靜態──動態」、「藏匿其中──呼之欲出──全然掌控」，它是一個立體的、可以互相交織的、可以進行刻度調整的表演空間，在這其間可以使動物的表現性遊走在寫實與寫意之間。

特邀演員曾歆雁將動物轉化運用於麥可契科夫系統；演員彭子玲將動物轉化融合到武術之中；演員陳柏廷則將動物轉化與舞踏的身體想像相結合。

After LAB No.1─Launch Out and LAB No.2─Cave Dwelling, we’re trying to establish Animal Transformation as a system, and to see actors outside of One Player Short Ensemble implementing the system into their own performing system. In 2016, we conduct LAB Project Demonstration-Performance: Animal Transformation 01 in the simplest way: with elaboration presented, demonstration given and several artistic pieces performed, we invite a few audience and theatrical actors to attend and discuss. 

We collect 3 aspects in the process of searching for animal sculptures: “tangible – intangible”, “stillness -movement”, “hidden within – on the verge of manifestation – in total control”. These are specific, are able to intertwine with each other, and can be performed in different adjustable level, which allow the artistic performances of “animal” to shift between the realistic and the abstract. 

Guest actor Hsin-Yen Tseng implements animal transformation into Michael Chekhov’s approach. Actor Tzu-Ling Peng integrates animal transformation with martial arts. Actor Po-Ting Chen combines animal transformation with physical perception of Butoh.
