演出簡介
演出改編自漫畫《來自清水的孩子》,以蔡焜霖前輩的故事為背景,使用偶、物件、真人演出交互穿插的形式,來述說小男孩與他的書本朋友的故事。
書本帶領他通往世界,書本讓他陷入牢獄之災,書本拯救了他,書本也被他拯救?

蔡焜霖前輩的故事廣為人知,尤其《來自清水的孩子》以一套四冊的漫畫來描繪前輩人生的四個重要階段與轉折,使讀者看見的不只是前輩受壓迫的身影,更是其溫柔迎向世界的美好心靈。這次改編的對象是親子,我們在思索的是,我們想開啟孩子們什麼樣的想像空間,而非只限於灌輸某種既定的價值觀。因為箝制思想是統治者畏懼人民的證據與手段,而若我們抵抗的是被箝制,我們首先要先願意對孩子們開啟空間與彈性。
於是我們將改編主題聚焦於小男孩與他的書本朋友的旅程:從小男孩愛上書本,到因讀書而入獄,再到出獄後成為創造書本的人,將書本分享給世界。書本終其一生都與他在一起,他始終是那位愛讀書的孩子。我們希望透過書本朋友的主題來引導出「陪伴」、「分享」才是使人們或許能夠得到力量的原動力;期許在看戲的過程中給予孩子更多的是新奇、好奇的感受,因為這或許才是思想自由的核心與真諦。
Based on the story of TSAI Kun-Lin predecessor, the comic series “Son Of Formosa” tells the story of a young boy and his book friends, using puppets, objects, and live performances interspersed with each other.
Turning to the next page, a dragonfly emerges; turning to the next page, the sound of a bomber fills the air; turning to the next page, a field of sugarcane; turning to the next page, a lush green island; Turning to the next page……
The life of the predecessor, TSAI Kun-Lin is widely known, especially through the four-volume comic series “Son Of Formosa,” which depicts four crucial stages and turning points in his life. It enables readers to see not just the image of oppression but also the beauty of his gentle spirit as he embraces the world.
The target of this adaptation is families, and we aim to stimulate children’s imaginations rather than instill predetermined values. Because the suppression of thought is evidence of rulers’ fear of the people, our theme centers around the journey of the young boy and his bookish friends: from his love for books, to imprisonment due to reading, and his transformation into a creator of books after release, sharing books with the world. Throughout his life, books are always with him.
