賀湘儀的半自傳獨腳戲

一段渡海家庭的百年魔幻史詩

第三代外省台灣人的心路歷程

 

賀湘儀用三年的時間完成了《耳背上的印記》,她從對他人的憤怒和對自我的困惑當中出發,經歷許多議題的思辨以及身體美學上的探索。她不只消化許多私密的個人情感,並且進到更大的文化脈絡中,訴說當代台灣歷史與心理結構中人們被形塑被困縛的吶喊。賀湘儀是祭司,是溝通者,也是一個提醒者,因而她成為了一個擁有技藝的說故事者。

 

賀智明,1921年出生於湖南省湘鄉縣,1949年來到台灣後終其一生思念家鄉那片竹林。

賀先知,1950年出生於台灣台中,從小遙想父親口中的那片竹林,卻一輩子沒離開台中。

賀湘儀,1984年出生於台灣台中,18歲那年踏上離家的旅程,從此未歸。

 

The Mark  is a semi-autobiographical one-man show created by Hsiang-Yi Ho.
A family magical epic poetry across the sea.

An internal struggle of a third generation mainlander 


Hsiang-Yi Ho invested three years on the making of The Mark. She investigated her anger towards others and examine her own confusion, went through vigorous debates on certain issues, and explored the realm of body aesthetics. She not only digests her personal sentiments, but also appeal to a much bigger cultural context in order to recount people’s screams under a constructed mental structure in the flow of history. Ho, Hsiang-Yi is a shaman, a person who communicates reminds people of things. Therefore she becomes a skillful storyteller. 

 

Chi-Ming Ho, born in 1921 at Hunan province, Xiang xiang county, came to Taiwan in 1949 and miss the bamboo forest in his hometown ever since then for his whole life. 

 

Hsien-Chih Ho, born in Taiwan, Taichung in 1950, always reminisces about that bamboo forest his father talked about but never leave Taichung (in Taiwan) for his whole life. 

 

Hisang-Yi Ho, born in Taiwan, Taichung in 1984, start a journey away from home when she was eighteen years old, and never turned back.

賀湘儀在表演過程中不斷在「角色」、「敘述者」、「演員自身」三個身份間相互轉化,支撐起全場的表演,卻又顯得極其順暢自然,如同行雲流水般。

Hsiang-Yi Ho shifts between the role of “character”, “narrator”, and “actor itself” through the performance. She leads the show well with natural performance and elegance.
